About Lizzy
Woodbury Building Company is owned and operated by Lizzy Higgins.
Lizzy grew up in Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom and graduated from St. Johnsbury Academy. Shortly after, she spent a year in California working with Habitat for Humanity, building homes for lower-income individuals. It was there that she discovered both a love of carpentry and a deep appreciation for the home-building process.
In 2005, Lizzy and her husband Tim purchased a home in Woodbury, where they now live with their two sons, Levi and Joel. In 2019, she founded Woodbury Building Company.
Lizzy finds carpentry to be a rare and rewarding balance of creative expression, problem-solving, physical challenge, and time spent outdoors. She brings that passion to her work every day—and feels grateful to have built a career that fits both her skills and values.
